I purchased a puplle grid bluetooth reciever. As i am new to this i am not sure if i am having problems with the reciever or not.
Here is what happens. i can be travelling and have sat lock of up to 9 when all of a sudden i loose all sat lock and gps becomes unreliable this can then last for anywhere up to five minutes is this normal? other situation is that after switch on it can sometimes take up to 7-8 minutes to get a sat lock. can anybody tell me if this is normall or not?
i have a puple grid bluetooth using an xda2 and tom tom 3. my gps receiver is set to nmea 9600. |

That's good. The next question is where do you mount the receiver and what car do you drive? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Can you test with the receiver outside and see if the disconnects occur then? Alternatively put the receiver in the far bottom right of left of the screen and test. _________________ Darren Griffin |

when i first got gps receiver i had it at the bottom right hand corner and moved it to centre as i was getting poor reception.it had been working fine and drop outs seemed to be a rarity but recently as an example a 3/4 hour journey home tonight i lost sat signal four times |
