If it's the one with the USB socket to provide the power then yes, you definitely can using the lead that came with your device. |

I think I have the same setup as xda with v1.72.187. Only I hacked it around a bit to remove the O2 active stuff. :P

I did similar, copying all my TomTom files to a new Lexar card. I formatted it with Pocket Mechanic first though (FAT32, 1K cluster).
Works fine. |

If it's not switched on during take-off doesn't that mean you won't get a fix as, in my experience, you need to be stationary to get a fix and you'll be flying at several hundred miles an hour at that ... |
