dunno, overall software problem that was solved by resetting the thing - the main problem was the absence of the check boxes, mainly not being able to turn off the beam and select com 5 for the gps

global reset mate - did the trick. press the reset button on the side AND hold down the power button at the top - it resets the pda to factory settings, and the check boxes should all be ok. of course ...

think the software is screwed up - the check boxes keep apearing and disapearing, and now the beam is turned on again Rolling Eyes

back to dixons....

ok now the beam is turned off - don't know how, just reset the ipaq (tried this before but didn't work) and its stopped the beam connection, and now gps is turned on... but still not picking up Sad

there's no tick box against 'receive all incoming beams' - can't change it - take it there should be something there to change this setting?

its just a white screen with a single line near the top ...

i think i'm having problems because the beam is switched on to recieve - just can't seem to turn it off, though Rolling Eyes

any ideas?
