If the devices are already downloading all the traffic data, then bandwidth/data costs are not an issue. Likewise the quantity is also not an issue as traffic downloads are pretty quick.

after having a play around, it suddenly offered me a newer map, not wanting to waste the opportunity i said yes, and so I now have v870
certainly seems faster than my One V2. |

received mine today, map version 840 no latest map guarantee for me
they are offering latest map and 18 months updates for just under £40 cant decide if it is worthwhile. |

so glad i read this thread, I was so close to buying a 1005, but i guess i will keep my trusty tomtom one v2(data costs are minimal).
