That's another problem, you run out of memory. I would suggest an small utility 'magic button' which is freeware and it replaces the 'x' so it closes really the programs and not minimize them
I had exactly the same problem with the map going wild while driving home last night. I simple exited the application and turned the acer n35 off and back on again after a few seconds.
