I always dash mounted my Garmins as the rake of the windscreen put them too far away to reach

Yes, just create a POI folder on the card and place it in there, but having said that POIs take up very little room and I've never had any issues installing them into a nuvi's internal memory.

John - you don't even need to go back to main menu. You can ad via's straight after you have chose your preferred route from that map. Only just found this out.
