Just had a quick look at POI Convertor and it looks very good. The ease of switching between TomTom ov2, Google Earth kml and Excel formats covers all I need.  |

I tried POIEditor online and although I'm sure it worked once before, yesterday it just created empty files! I have emailed them but no response to date.

Perhaps you are running out of onboard memory? (Not flash memory)
France is a bigger map than UK so may be attempting to use more memory, and failing.
