Does it do this all the time or just outside your own house?
It could be your location isn't on the actual map.

A Mac won't be the issue, MikeB and I are both dedicated Mac users and have never had the issue you describe, very odd. You are using the internal speaker, not FM Transmitter or anything unusual?

| My new satnav - goes shy and does not complete the sentence "You have" (reached your destination). It then losses it completely - with no warning to "turn around when possible" and tries to loose me.
