I've got an old iPaq 3850 (which is the same range as the 3970 I think...).
TTN5 worked fine on that using the standard PPC2002 operating system, but I had to upgrade to PPC2003 to load TTN6.

And my old Ipaq 3850 running PPC2003 runs TTN6 just fine too.....
(Can't vouch for it running TTN6 on PPC2002, as I upgraded the firmware before installing TTN6, but TTN5 ran just fine under PPC200 ... |

I've always had all the Pocketgps POIs Enabled previously Mike and the refresh rate has always been OK before.

Thanks Mike - Yes, if I turn off the POIs ("disable them") and just rely on the proximity warning, then as you say, the map scrolls smoothly and the proximity alerts work OK.

Thanks Mike - I already have the warnings enabled, but I also like to see them on the map so that I know where to look out for.
It all used to work OK with all the cameras enabled until I upgraded ... |

I have solved it - but it wasn't as simple as that and I'm not sure what the underlying issue is.
The "factory reset" fixed the jerky map because it deselected all my POIs.

Done that several times. Hard reset my device and reinstalled only TTN5 to make sure it wasn't anything else.
Have tried it both with the "vanilla 5.21" EXE and also with the backlight fix version.
