Depends how you do it. Best way if you've downloaded maps with gaps is to delete them and start again.
I use mapinstall. I'll do as you suggest

| On other forums I belong to it seems the issue is not Express but a problem with the NT version of the map. Garmin are aware and are working to resolve it, if I hear any news I'll post in this thread

You can uninstall previous maps by going into the Installer.
I always do that via windows software uninstaller in control panel but keep the last one as a backup in case anything goes wrong. |
