IMO, expect lifetime traffic offering within days if no issues with the firmware.
Thought Traffic was lifetime?
It is for us in the UK. Not so for other countries, though, I believe.

Fortuitiously I was already registered with Garmin and so was able to get the unlock codes from them (after putting in the serial number of my device).

No, it doesn't need to be activated first but it can take some time to locate satellites the first time you switch on.

Forgot to say - the red cameras with red border are camera clusters. They are used to try and keep the number of images displayed to something approaching reasonable! |
