put usa on the SD card in folder named garmin, my sat nav wont recognize it.

Not sure why you'd have the EU map on a card?

However if they all fit you can put them on the same card, and rename them as you wish.

Note they need to be in a folder named Map.

just bought a Tom Tom Start 55 USA from ebay, the guy says he bought it in USA, he has just messaged me to say that it wont work in UK only USA, it only has USA maps, but surely if i put UK maps on it ...

IMO you'd have been better buying them in the US pre-loaded with US maps Wink

As for adding maps now, you'd need to buy separate maps for each GPS.
