Unfortunately the maps on my 910 have been trashed with definitely no backup path available.
I still have all the original disks, codes etc, I believe that another 910 backup could be used to recov ... |

Problem:- Unit out of warranty, Toshiba MK2008GAL HD dead after high altitude drive strangely enough.
Replaced HD, no problem, but of course no maps and no backup (new PC only days before!)

When driving without a route, I note that the Nuvi 750 shows speed and direction in the data boxes at the bottom instead of arrival time and distnce to next turn.

Display of speed isn't an issue - your car speedo should be accurate enough Anyway driving whilst continually looking at the satnav will get you into bigger problems than speeding.
