Thanks sussamb.
I suspected it would make a difference as my Galaxy S3 is very fast to get a signal and hold it although I have never had a signal problem with the 60CSX

Yes the navigation side of the unit probably does use CE to run on. basically it is two units in one case. CE for satnav and the other side for TV, radio etc

Well the SD card is obviously protected and won't copy.
It is possible to read the card but there is nothing there to indicate a POI folder and I'm not about to play with the card in case it corrupts ... |

I don't think so, primarily because the TV is only analogue which is no use now in the UK.
The navigation software says its a trial so you may have to end up paying for it when the trial ends.
