You're probably right in that the .cfg file seems to contain Preferences AND Favourites AND Recent destinations. My recommendation to use this file to recover Favourites was based solel ...

Eeek! Don't remove the .chk files! Windows thinks they are recovered fragments, but the TTG needs them (different operating system, different file extension meanings!)

How do I transfer my favorites over?
Are they in a specific file...
It will be a pain to do them over as most of them were GPS locations !!
