Thanks for all your help so far everyone. I've now reloaded some POIs onto my SD card, using POI Loader. I have also downloaded the latest speed camera database onto the Nuvi.

It sounds like these are the ones that were built in to the device when you bought it.

My guess is that you didn't install the downloaded POIs correctly, and you have always been seeing the pre-ins ...
