Even if you can add them .... if you can't sound an alert when you get within a certain distance of them are they of any real use? |

Unlikely that it does, few OEM Factory fit systems do.
I totally agree....however the new Audi systems (like the one just hitting the A4) are based on a 40Gb harddrive. This means it's not burnt like ... |

When on the phone, instead of getting spoken words, you get a warning beep...which the caller somehow doesn't here. The same as without routing it via the Audio out.
