I got the software from a torrent site ( i think).
I copied the contents of the downloaded .zip file to my a spare SD card and the miomap software works fine.
I've been on about 10 long distance ... |

How did you get MioMap onto your Navigo? I thought it was only available on Mio hardware.
It really just a case of me dragging and dropping the files onto the Navigo, as it is a CE platform device. ... |

Ok, now I remember why this frustrated me before:
I uploaded the new SpeedCams.mtc to the POI folder on the SD card and popped it back into my Navigo.
Booted the GPS device, loaded the miomap 3.3 ... |
