Dont know what model of PIN you have ,there might be only 1 , I have the PIN 570 and runs TomTom 6 brilliantly. I now have 2 satnav programs on , my SmartST is a backup .

Does anyone know if it is possible to "download" an area of the maps permanantly, so i don'y have to use GPRS when on the move to look at the maps???

Not sure how old your model is , but it could simply be the age of the battery . My 5 year old Sony Clie's battery doesn't last long now and I've just bought a replacement battery for my Sharp minidi ...

My buget is limited too , so , I'm not a person who continually wants to update or upgrade just for the sake of it . I dont mind if my maps are a little out of date either . I dont think I can update ...
