Anyone got this PDA?

I've been using a Medion (Mitac clone) Mio 168 for 4 years and it's getting a bit long in the tooth, plus I never liked the fold out antenna, also no wireless or bluetooth.

Medion PPC (Mitac Mio 168 clone)
WM2003
Tomtom 6.02
Checkpoint 6.00
UK and Rep of Ireland map

Problem:

Every time I go to synchronise my POIs using Checkpoint, it doesn't remember ...

Putting the ZIP folder in the Tomtom folder works if you have v6.00 (in other words the illegal cracked version). If you have v6.01 it should work fine in the root of your SD card.

Well it runs on my Mio 168 so I can't see it not running on the newer 268.

I forgot to mention that neither checkpoint 5.2 or 6 perform as well as 3.2 running with TTN3.07. With 5/6 I only usually get one audio alert for cameras even though 2 are set up, and I am not warned ...

Ok. Now I have the "flicker" effect, but with Checkpoint 6 only, I do NOT get it with Checkpoint 5.2! Bizzarre or what?

I have never suffered from this "blinking" problem.

I have just installed Checkpoint 6 now but won't test it really until tomorrow.

If I am correct, it is the same as mine, and that's a Mitak Mio 168 clone.

And yes, TTN6 does work on it, just fine.

Another feature that was removed after v3.07 on "customer request" (b0ll0cks) was native support for programming the hardware buttons on your PDA. I use this all the time and couldn't live without it ...
