I ran my iPhone 4 in the TomTom dock but without the fix today merely to try it on it's own GPS for a 30 minute drive.
Obviously saps the battery a lot but otherwise the GPS performance seemed fine ... |

Agreed. However I don't think Apple would have made a song and dance about the antenna system on the iPhone 4 if there was no improvement. So I at least expect it to work better than the iPhone 3GS. T ... |

Thanks for info, do you reckon that the new iphone 4 will fit in the TomTom car kit holder and still work the same as it does with 3g/3gs, I notice the size is a bit smaller ie thiner but all other me ... |

Agreed I got to try out traffic today and I was also impressed. It kept giving me updates on the delay and when the delay on this route got to 20 minutes it told me it had found a faster route saving ... |

Yes it's 1.19 and that's for the lifetime of the app as far as I am aware.

I've also read that traffic is not available for the UK yet but will be coming soon. Hopefully it won't be too long.
I saw a screenshot of the French version which shows it at 19.99 Euro's so guess ... |

I've not tried it yet but am now downloading. All it says has changed is it now has full UK postcodes (This is the UK only version).

Well you'd obviously need Location Services enabled because otherwise the iPhone disables access to the GPS. At a guess this stops apps accessing the TomTom mounts GPS because it must be hooking into ... |

I'm not sure this does mean there is 7 digit postcodes in Navigon yet. The only way this could work is using a registered URL extension for the app to pass the details to Navigon.

It's actually available to buy on their website now. Not sure on when it will ship but that's a really good sign that it's not long. |
