Probably because it is connected to your stereo via HFP, so it is coming across as a phone call?
I use mine connected using A2DP and there are no issues with the CA voices, they sound very similar ... |

If you delete the ephemeris folder does it get recreated?
If not, it can't update QuickGPSFix.
I can't remember if LIVE devices recreate it if it isn't present or not. |
