These are routes I've actually traveled. I'm downloading and saving the track that results from that. I'm not familiar with creating routes.

Don't know if I understand. Are you saying that you've loaded TOPO on your PC and can see and print low level maps (.2mi gives me the names of streets) but can't zoom out enough to see the ... |

I don't have a solution but urge you to get on the Magellan website and write to Technical Support. They've always responded within a couple of days and been very helpful.

Just another vote for the NiMHs. I use the Energizer 2300mAh batteries exclusively and they work great in both my Meridian and digital camera.
