Steve- thanks for your advice, I will definitely look into Sprite. It's a shame that Sprite, or HP, does not offer a free upgrade as the supplied backup software does not work properly.

I followed instructions as provided by Tomtom, i.e. unchecked ttbtdev.dll before restoring from CF card and re-applied Nav3 (v3.03) and GPS(v3.03) and guess what ... it didn't work!

Have just done a hard reset restore. Memory are as follows, all in MB:
Storage- Alloc:28.55/In Use:9.57/Free:18.98
Program- Alloc:28.56/In Use:8.34/Free 20.17
