Tried it on English_American_.vpm and English_British_.vpm .. works great, tried it on English_British_Emily.vpm but did not work. Am I right in thinking it is not compatable with the TTS files?

The features are different due to hardware and/or marketing decisions by Garmin - it's the same as the firmware for the Nuvi 310 and 360 - they are the same download, but only the 360 has TTS.

Yes, so the software is identical for all three.... which gives the question why the features of all three are different? (510 no MP3, no TTS....)

as far as i know there are two, touch the upper right screen for more than 6 seconds or the lower left edge same length - answer is valid for 510 but nuvi maybe the same.

Addition - my tool can as well read the *.RGN files - which can be extracted out of any (voiceupdate).exe by unzipping the exe (yes, that works, it gives an Updater.exe and the *.RGN).

Yes, as far as i Know my tool works for any languange and seems to have almost no limitations about chnaging the wav sound snippets.

If it works for Nuvi 330 - i am not sure. If you can get the *** ...

hm - there might be no new voice at moment except one new german one, but tools to split and merge a garmin vpm files are avaliable now.

is it possible to upload programs onto this board?

my homemade tool? does the work, and explorere transfers it via USB ?

addition, the files are handled it the VPM Format and thus send ito the garmin unit into apropriate folder via USB connection

as far as i am sure, it works for C510 and c550, but i can successfully split and merge (for instance) sp2720 files of any language.

People have said the nuvi language files are the same as 510/55 ...
