Hi,
Tinystocks would like to announce the release of the latest version of Navio .
Get it at Tinystocks - Navio
The new version includes the following:
- A2B functionality, from the A2B location-based search engine, allowing users to search for nearby websites on the move.
- 3D moveable satellite views.
- Load in and "position fix" your own map images, allowing you to scan your own maps (please obey applicable copyright laws) and see your track across them in real time.
- Record your route on a map and replay it later.
Navio is a great companion for your GPS device.
Navio gives you access to all the information from your GPS device on your Pocket PC 2002/2003 device or Windows computer (95/98/NT4/Me/2000/XP). With Navio you can:
Check your current position, heading, speed and altitude.
See how many satellites are being used for your current fix and strength of the signals in 3D.
See your current location, trace your route and calculate the distance between any two points on any digitized map. This feature is great for travelling, hiking, geocaching, golfing, sailing and much more.
Keep track of an unlimited number of waypoints with distance and direction information to each point. Easily export these lists to spreadsheet programs for further analysis. Plot course from waypoint to waypoint on the map. Great for geocaching and hiking ! Navio supports the popular GPX and LOC geocaching formats.
Save all your GPS movement data and replay it later or see the entire route on the map. Easily check the distance travelled, average speed and time taken.
Works with any serial or Bluetooth GPS device that supports the standard NMEA 0183 message format.
See Tinystocks - Navio for more details.
Thanks,
Sam

By the way, we'd be really pleased to hear people's comments on Navio and A2B.
The main issue we have at the moment is trying to get people to add their own sites - what do forum readers think is the best way to encourage people to add sites? Are the instructions on adding a site clear enough? (You can read them at adding a site to A2B.)
Any comments?
Many thanks,
Sam

It looks pretty cool, but are there any plans for a Smartphone version? _________________ Gone fishing! |
