troubles with tomtom: view freezes

I'm also having problems with tomtom3, but until now I didn't find a solution yet.

To exclude as much as possible causes, I installed tomtom with the benelux card after a hard reset. So it's just a bare pda (Qtek 2020 or the XDA II) with only tomtom3.

I have the following problem: after using tomtom for a while, and riding between point a to B, the view freezes. It just stops. It doesn't come back. I can go the menu and do things, but when I want to return to the 3D view, the menu freezes... when pointing again, I'm in menu mode again...
Even quitting the application and then returning doesn't solve the problem. Tomtom just doesn't want to start again.

The only option I have is a soft reset, and more often than not, two...

My map is installed on a SD memory card (SanDisk II) but I tried another one (ordinary san disk) and the result is the same.

Can anyone help?

I had this problem ones and many others in this forum and the answers from the experts of SD cards Like DavidW will tell you to avoid any Sandinsk SD Cards or any cards made in china , try to install the maps on a different sd card and see what happens.

From Reading the forum , people are happy with Lexar SD card
Panasonic SD Cards are highly recommended , i personally use the toshiba card and have no problems with it.

Maybe others have a better idea.

SD cards made by Panasonic are arguably the best - though those made by Toshiba are a close second.

There aren't that many manufacturers of SD cards - most companies put their brand on a card they've bought from a manufacturer. There's no hard and fast rules about these rebadges, particularly as many companies keep changing supplier. Lexar did this - just when everyone started recommending them, they switched from Toshiba to Sandisk! I believe Lexar 32x cards are fine, but wouldn't be prepared to offer any guarantee.
