BC-307 working faster than 4800 with PDA?

The default baud rate is 4800. I tried to change it to higher speed and it stopped working. Is there a way to change to higher speed when working with PDA to improve response time and performance?

No, the BC-307 is fixed at 4800bps. To be honest even if you could change the port speed you would see no discernable performance increase.

I'm sure i have seen this changed on mine with a utility from Leadtek called WinCEmonitor.

You can change it using something like GPSTweak - but you'll find that it still only provides updates at 1Hz - it just takes less time to convey that message (at 4800baud, you can fit ~500 characters in 1 second of transmission)

The visible effect is at best negligible.
