My 3598 got lost today. I first noticed the cursor and history trail diverging from the road. Some times it wandered back and forth, others it set off diverging. I put a route in and the route track started on the nearest road to where it thought it was; if was up to a quarter mile in error.
When the cursor met the route road it would swing to the road but immediately revert to the wrong path. On arrival I found the GPS accuracy stated to be 21 feet. On the return journey 30 min later it was normal.
Anyone else experienced gremlins like that? |

Only on the car I used to drive for the ambulance service
It's an indication that for some reason it's lost satellite lock or the accuracy is poor. Where were you when it happened? I can imagine for example a satnav having issues in central London. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Lincolnshire fens, no hill over 6 feet or building over 20 within half a mile
It looked more like loss of snap to road synch as it as it snapped as it crossed the route then wandered off. On arrival, with the car marker incorrect it reported accuracy at 21 feet and has behaved perfectly since. I wonder if it was an overheat issue. |

If it was a satellite problem I think it would hit the mass media. Local jamming might just be a problem except in my case we are looking at about 10 miles. There is a military facility near me but I don't think they are the culprits.
Everything has been working since them. |
