Unit keeps slowing up, freezing for a few seconds and being generally unresponsive. Once on the map page it tracks the position OK but try pressing something and its back to slowness.
Updated maps and firmware and done a master reset twice and its still the same.
Is it cooked or is there something else I can try?

How much free space do you have on your nuvi? If ample and a master reset hasn't cured it then it may be a hardware issue.

In that case and a master reset hasn't done it I'd give Garmin a call on their Freephone number and seek their advice. If it is toast they will often help towards cost of a new one or get yours repaired.

Thanks for your help, I phoned them and it looks like the units at fault. Long out of warranty, time for a new one I think!
