How to install CF card in 3540 sleeve?

I feel a total loser for asking this, but how do you install a CF card in a Navman 3450 sleeve? No amount of 'reasonable' force seems to move the cover of the slot - do I need to get my really big screwdriver out or is there a trick to it?

There is no black art to removing the CF Slot cover, it 'should' just slide out. It might just be a tight fit, there is little harm in prising it out gently as the only part you dare not damage is the pins at the base of the CF slot but these are well out of harms way if you're just 'assisting' the CF Slot Cover off
