Garmin 3598 Overspeed alerts

I've noticed that if you just go over the speed limit, the device will alert you with an audible sound, but if you drop below and go back up, it does not re-alert you.

This has only just noticed it over weekend as noticed it hadn't kept some settings after being plugged into computer.

Also can't get it to continuously make an audible sound if you stay above the limit. Only time is when in speed camera zones.

Anyone else noticed that.

I turned that annoying bong off. It's considerably louder than my previous units and had to go.

Not that I spend all my time over the limit but you only have to creep over and off it goes.
