Can't setup cf gps unit

Hi all just purchased hp2210 and rikaline gps-6020 compact flash gps unit the problem is i cannot get the gps unit to work/switch on,have read all literature that came with the unit but cannot get the unit 2 work,
any help would be appreciated.

have you installed the gps driver of mapping software yet

i have installed navtech maps of uk 2004 not sure about gps drivers

thank's for the info found my gps driver's eventually took around 20 mins to get a lock on around 6 sattellites is this normal for a cf gps unit?

sounds right for a first fix it should be much quicker from now on
