|

Hi All,
Just received my iPad Mini with retina display 128GB Wifi & 3G and want to know if anyone has any recommendations for the best SIM card deal for data usage? Which network/package do you use?
I go to Jersey regularly so if there was one card that would allow me to use data there without it being 'roaming' then that would be great, but I have a feeling I'll have to get a local network card when I'm over there.
There are lots of deals out there and I'm a bit confused as my other iPad is WiFi only so never really had to look at data-only packages before. I mostly use the iPad in a WiFi household so would only be looking at occasional use when out and about.
Many thanks for any advice! _________________ TomTom 730

Hi Bo Peep. When I was in the Uk couple of months ago I picked up a GiffGaff sim card. For £12/month I had unlimited internet access, unlimited texts, 250 mins of calls and free calls to my friends also on GiffGaff. I found the cell coverage excellent with good connections everywhere I went.
They have different plans, some cheaper, some dearer and some just for data.
Not certain if this is the best deal you can find but I think they should be worthy of consideration. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

GiffGaff's data only plans are called GigaBags. They have three monthly options; 500mb, 1Gb & 3Gb. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Thanks Dennis and AliOnHols. I've seen the GiffGaff deals so will revisit them as the data only plans are what I'm interested in. I'll also have a look at Dennis' link to see what their coverage is like here. I'm not right out in the middle of nowhere so hopefully all networks will be pretty good. _________________ TomTom 730
