Hello Gents... XDA2 and TTŁ using a Rikaline cabled GPS...
Can anybody help me to get my TT3 working please.
I have installed it onto my PDA and registered it OK (No problems so far) and now I have the 2 problems...
1.... 95% of the time when I tap to get the program started the little circle that I assume tells me that it is loading the program starts rotating and then freezes. My PDA then will not do anything and the only way to get it back to life is to use the stylus to reset it. I have not loaded the whole of Great Britain only the smallest SE part of the Database and this I have done onto the main memory and not my 128 storage card. This still leaves about 30MB on each the program side and the storage side of my "hard disc". Should I use my memory card instead?
2... On the 5% that I do manage to get it loaded I am not sure on how to tell the GPS what port I have the GPS connected to. I click on GPS and thenI select the type of receiver I am using ( Rikaline) and then it asks me for the port it is connected to (It is connected to the main one at the bottom of my PDA) What is this one called ???
Needless to say it is not picking up any satellites and due to my complete incompetence I am relly getting frustrated.
Please help ...
Many Thanks....
P.S... As you can tell I am new to PDA's so I would truly be grateful for a non technical answer...
Cheers

Not sure why you are having problems, I would remove programme and load again over the top. The Programme needs to be loaded in the main memory and the maps can be loaded on the Storage card. Have you have any problems with the storage card in the past?

I also have a wired GPS and if you go into the GPS programme, in the GPS tab, you will need to untick the box in the top left hand corner and select the type, and in mine it is "Serial Cable on COM1" option in the other box. Don't forget to re-tick the box.

Hope this helps

Steve
