first off this is my first post so if it's been covered already sorry

i am using a ipaq 2210 with wired gps, my problem is this often i am being given late instructions, sometimes well after the turn and sometimes it is on the mark but with tt2 it worked well but for some reason tt3 it keeps doing this, i have even moved the reciever to a better position but it is still doing it .

does anyone else have this problem or is it just me Sad

well thanks for any replies

I have just upgraded from TT2 to TT3 on my Ipaq 3970. It does seem a little slower then version two but its caused me no problems so far. Perhaps yours is running slower still?

I have the same setup TT3/2210 with the TomTom wired GPS and have no problems with it at all (other than the usual map errors, although quite minor where I live).

What receiver do you have and what settings are you using for it in the GPS driver?

sorry not sure at this moment but i bought it from global positioning systems as a bundle , i'll have to check properly in the morning, but
i have been thinking it could be because i keep it very near the front windscreen side pillar , i'll move it in the morning and try again see if it doesn't make a difference

That's unlikely to be the cause of your problem, post back in this thread when you find out and we'll take it from there Thumbs Up

That's a Haicom 204e, OK, now can you tell me what setting you have configured for it in the GPS Driver and the information on make and serial numbers from your SD card?

Well as you're using a CF card ignore that part, there are some issues with SD cards but generally CF cards are fine.

As for the GPS, within TomTom Navigator, access the menu and cycle through till you see the GPS Icon, select this and ensure you are looking at the 'GPS' tab, tell me what Settings are configured in the top two boxes next to the 'Tick'

Ok, untick the box and change TomTom GPS to Haicom GPS, tick the box again and have a test drive, report back if it's resolved or the same?
