Map Update stalling.

I have downloaded City Navigator Europe NT 2012.40, but when I come to install it to my Nuvi 255W, the installation stalls at 90%???
I've tried restarting my PC, restarting my Nuvi and nothing seems to work.

I've downloaded and installed previous map updates no problem.

Any ideas anybody please??

Sorry, when you say you've downloaded it but then it stalls at 90% I'm confused? Are you saying you've downloaded it to your PC and are now trying to install in onto your nuvi? Are you using Mapinstall to do that? Or Mapsource/Basecamp?

Or have you tried to use Garmin's Lifetime Updater? There are real problems with this. I suggest you log onto myGarmin, go to the download/update maps page and then select Option2 ... that's the 'old' download method and works far better

Yeah sussamb I've downloaded to my pc and am trying to install with Garmin Lifetime Updater ( which has worked fine before) But I'll give your suggestion a try.

Glad to help, hopefully Garmin will sort out lifetime updater at some time but in the meantime I'd stay well clear
