I just got a Holux GR-230, witch I like to get running with my Loox600, PPC 2002.

The GPS is working perfectly with my laptop. But my reason for buying is using this in my car with my Loox. I just can not get it to work. Plugfree finds it, and I have managed to bond it. The problem is that it seems like the SSP slave is not working properly. I get the message “Error adding connection” when tapping the SSP slave.

There is no way of finding the GPS in the map software that I have installed. To me it seems like there is a driver problem. I am using MapSonic (ViaMichelin) software. I’ve installed the latest patch for that software as well as the last flash upgrade for my Loox.

For some reason I did not receive the CD together with the Holux. There might have been some drivers there that I would need, but according to the manual it seems like it is not required.

And for the record, I have used a program to scan all the com ports in all the baud rates possible.

I would appreciate if someone could help me in this matter as I am getting pretty desperate and my family just don't seems to appreciate me being like this....

Thanks

Erling

I found the solution myself. Choose to post it so that others with the same problem might get the solution:

Since I have used my Loox with a various Bluetooth devices, all the com-ports seemed to have been busy. I chose to delete all the devices associated with the various ports - and it works!!!

I've been walking around in my surroundings now - testing it - it is amazing to see how it operates!!!
