Calibration of Maps

Hi all,

I have Oziexplorer installed on my PC and HP2210.
I want to use this for off road hiking and mountain biking.
At the moment I am using my own scanned OS map.
Is it possible to use Tomtom to get the co-ordnances form other areas
while not connected to my GPS. It seems to work after a fashion but i am not sure if this is the best way to calibrate my maps.
Any advice please.

The best way to calibrate a map based on OS data is to use the OS grid intersections and the OSGB references.

Due to restrictions placed on us by the Ordnance survey I am not able to elaborate any further, but the Ozi instructions are not too bad.

Using Tom Tom to collect the co-ordinates is not a good idea as the readout from the GPS status screen is in a different projection to your map.
