|

Hi Guys
I am looking for some help and advice with getting the PGPS speed camera files working with Sygic Mobile Maps 10 on my Nokia N8
I have followed all the instructions from this page
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=69303
And as far as I can tell I have done everything right. The trouble is I get no warnings or sounds on the device.
I have selected show poi on map and selected all of the PGPS files Gatso etc and I have selected Warn when near and again selected each file, set the warning distance and warning sound, during these steps the selected Icon is visible so I assume its the correct size and colour depth and it also plays the selected sound files so again I assume they are correct. I have not selected Only warn when on route so they should show all the time. And still I get nothing, no sound and no icon on the map.
Anyone got any idea what I am doing wrong. I do have the Sygic speed camera active and they do work, am I supposed to de-active them or should it run both.
Thanks for any help

Hi Guys
Just a quick update
I followed the new instructions and now at the set distance (600 Yards) the camera icon is shown in the top lefthand side of the screen with a distance countdown and the warning sound is played, but most of the time no icon is shown on the map and on the odd occasion that it is shown it only shows for a few seconds from about (100 yards) and most of the time no icon is shown on the road at all.
Anyone got any thoughts on what I have done wrong.
Thanks

Hi Guys
Still trying to get this working
What happens is with the warn when near setting at 600 yards
If the phone is in vertical mode, the warning sound file is played at about 100 yards even though it is set at 600 yards but the icon dosen't show untill I have reached the speed camera. and then only for a few seconds
With the phone in lanscape mode the warning sound is played at about 400 yards it is set for 600 yards and the icon is shown on the map from about 400 yards.
Anyone else getting this or knows of a solution.
Thanks
Paul |

I have follow all the instructions to install the speed camera warning into my new HTC DEsire S. The problem is that I could not download the txt convertor to upi from the link it providered in this site so I search around and found a convertor for ov2. I use this to convert the ov2 files to UPI and install the sound and the Bitmap and the UPI files.
There is nothing show up after I configuared the POI wioth the Mobile Map 10.
Anyone could help me please? |

Dear aj2052, thanks for the reply. I will try to copy all the bmp files in the map folder to see if this make any difference.
I strongly feel that my problem is that I use the convertor that I search from the web to translate the ov2 files to upi. I read that the MM make not take it if thisis not from their own convertor.
I have floowing the link that provided from the PCW but the link is no longer there!
I just wonder if anyone have the TXT to UPI convertor and email it to me or place it to the forum. |

Yes, I have the info for the configuration for the speed camera. I think my problem is I do not have the txt to upi convertor program so my upi files would not be able to use for MM 10. I only could donwl;oad the poi to upi convertor.
If you have the lastest upi convertor program please could you sned it to me. Many thanks in advance. |
