A new update is available this morning giving the units Shared POI ability
Takes about 4 mins to download and install to the unit
Added it to my TomTom then it disappeared - either I need a restart and its ready, or its preparing for the custom POI launch - don't have time to check either this morning
Either way good to have progress for those who are interested in custom POIs...

Yep mine updated as well but havnt got a clue whats been updated.
My 1000 does seem instant now when i click on a icon now though  |

Can you guys list the new version of the application you now have installed?
You can check the new build version via Settings , Status & Information , Version information.
It should look like 10.123.456789-1234

| My 1005 refuses to connect to the computer for some reason but my 1000 is downloading a 118mb update entitled "navigator" 10.442; there's a link to the application update page which hasn't been updated! |

| The 1000 updated to 10.024.596308.29, not sure this is a "new" update as I don't use it much, 1005 is updating now..... |

| Dunno what happened there; the 1005 is at application 10.040.584798.31, which looks like the old one. Despite that is, loads of activity with their server etc. Menus don't look any different. |

My 1000 refuses to update. Gets halfway through and then disconnects with a device error. Reboot PC and reset 1000. Connect and after 5 - 10 mins finds the download and then more of the same. Stuck on 10.022.574650
Logged call yesterday, awaiting response from TT Support |

My Go 1000 updated to 10.024.596308.29 - was didn't check the previous load, so who knows!
Initially during update the MyTomTom app should "Custom POIs" button, but this is no longer visible, so not sure what happened there - anyone?
Glad to be back with my TomTom today after a few days with a Nuvi 2310 - which even though sharper and improved mapping, and more functions and customisation than previous nuvi builds, just cannot compare with the slickness and accuracy (house numbers, vocal instruction) of the Go 1000

Goto My TomTom app-Cache- Empty the cache. Worked for my and its what the email i got from TomTom advised. However now my Speed Cameras have vanished!!!

To lose the PGPSW Speed Camera Database from a Go-1000 would be nothing short of a miracle, you can't install custom POI files to said device, whether the up and coming update offers true Custom POI support is a good question or will it share POI files via MyTomTom for all and sundry..... - Mike |

Just checked Andy nothing has changed at all , I have no idea what this update has done, or if there will be anymore in the morning, regarding poi capabilty when the unit is plugged in there is still nothing on the unit sad to say. |
