TomTom Go 1000 - External microphone and car stereo question

Is it possible to get an external microphone for the Go 1000? The device is a little far away to pick up my voice properly, so rather than shout at it, I don't use a really handy feature of the device. Would like to run a microphone up to the ceiling. any ideas?

Also, following on from that, and this is probably a long-shot, but is there anyway to wire it so that it cuts the car's speakers if someone calls?

Welcome to the forum, you can't add an external microphone to the unit and it can't control the car stereo, sorry - Mike
