Been lurking around the forums for a few weeks now and would like some help choosing a BT GPS. I already have an iPaq 4150 +128Mb SD Card (badged Lexar Japan) and will probably go with TomTom 3 - main use will be car based navigation.

My current choice for the GPS is the Fortuna Clip-On - like the ability to switch between standard and Xtrac modes, 8 hour battery life fine for the amount I travel and like the small size of the unit.

Xtrac v2 would be nice but it looks like the Slim-GPS is still some months off.

Alternatives I have considered are the Navman 4100 (like the standard batteries but no Xtrac and more expensive) and the Raikaline X7.

Am I making the right choice with the Fortuna and should I be going with another product? All comments / suggestions greatfully received,

Mark

Been through the comparison database which leads me to believe the Clip-On is the best value considering the features it offers - but how does it perform in the real world, relialibility, support etc against other models?

As there a few places that sell these devices it means making a choice without ever having seen them.

Have a read through this thread Yes it is long but is a good read-up on reliability of BT units. It may help with making a descision.

I can say the Navman 4100 works well.
