Presumably not, but does anyone know? I have it working for my routes on the PC - is there an easy way of uploading the elevation data for the area you are interested in without working out each & every square you will need and uploading the files one, or a few at a time? Obviously one could upload all the data onto the PC but not the PPC. I note the reservations some have about the accuracy of the altitude data in other threads, but it would still be nice to have the route graph. |

No - I don't think it is possible on Fugawi
as a p.s. I would suggest you change to a different product. I have just changed and I don't regret it. Fugawi software is poor in my view and as far as I can tell is in no danger of being updated any time soon.

Are there other providers of the OS maps suitable for transfer to a Pocket PC? I would not want to be scanning & calibrating etc, though it would be useful in the (Spanish) Pyrenees. |

As far as I know there are only four O.S. map providers. Fugawi, Anquet, Memory Maps and TrailLog. Of these the last does not support the PPC.
I have used Fugawi which , in my view, is poor although the maps, being O.S. are the same quality as the others. The software on the PPC is what makes the difference and I have been disappointed that Fugawi isn't getting updated. Anquet are new to the PPC and at this stage are probably only marginally better than Fugawi but I have confidence that they will develope their software.
To be honest , I suspect that at this stage MM are the better option on the PPC but they are much more expensive and I am backing Anquet to catch up.
I am not aware of the issues involving scanning maps and I would suggest speaking directly to the suppliers - I believe that MM do offer those features but I am not sure about Anquet.
Regarding the availability of overseas Topo maps, Anquet tell me that they are planning 'relationships' with overseas map suppliers whereas MM were only able to point me to their web site and they offered no promise of overseas map availability. |
