I have a TT 730.
I want to keep the dispalyed UI in English, but get the spoken instructions in French. If I select a French voice, it is just pronouncing the English text with a French accent, so "left at the roundabout" becomes "leff a t' rondaboo", whereas it should be something like "gauche a la rondpwa".
Am I asking the impossible? _________________ Tomtom Go 1005

Change Preferences/ Voice Preferences/ Speech preferences and make sure "Read aloud foreign street names" is selected although being honest I am not 100% sure what you want from the device is actually possible without selecting the French voice to start with - Mike
I can get Spanish instructions in Spanish on my 730 if I select the Carmen or Jorge computer voices from TTHome. As mikealder says, my "Read aloud foreign street names" box is ticked. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
