Hi I wonder if any one can help ?
I have searched the FAQ's but does not seem to answer my question,
so it has been asked and I have missed it Sorry !
I have a Tomtom Go500 and camers installed and they show on the map but cannot get the Voices to work.
I have downloaded Liz Whittaker file and copied to the Western Europe (2G) map folder and gone into the "Warn When near POI" and go through the process of the scroll down the list till you come the first gatso then get the screen for the distance then it says 'Is this the sound you want?' so hit yes, then warn on route and yes again, and repeat for all the list, but still no voices.
Any help please ?

Try giving the reset button in the base of the device a prod then see if the voice warnings work - I have seen this fix this issue with a Go Classic and Go-300 quite recently - You won't lose any settings etc by pressing the reset so its no harm in trying it - Mike |

Doesn't "Warn when on route" (or whatever) ONLY operate when a route has been planned but not give warnings when simply driving? I leave this option unchecked and thus get warnings under both scenarios.
Or am I talking bo.....s - which is what my wife believes I do most of the time! |

No I know what you mean, but as you I leave un-checked so even if no route is planned, I still get a warning as driving, but still does not "warn"
Thanks anyway

If you have no luck getting that method to work, try "method 2" as described at the bottom of the voices installation page (HERE
That always works (so long as you are using v7 or 8 software). |
