There's really no easy way of adding Bluetooth to a non-Bluetooth Pocket PC.

There are two options for the iPAQ you have. One is the one that many Dell Axim X5 users have followed - a Bluetooth CompactFlash card. These can work reasonably well, especially on Pocket PC 2002 (Pocket PC 2003 tends to be more tricky). This might just be an option if you are using an SD card for your maps.

The other option is the old and now discontinued Bluetooth and CompactFlash Expansion Pack. This is not supported under Pocket PC 2003, and isn't an option for you because you need your Navman in place for GPS.

If you're otherwise happy with the system, a third option may be to look round for a second hand 3970 and sell your 3850. Not only does an 3970 have Bluetooth, but the 3900 series have a faster processor and faster SD slot than the 3800 series, also they support SDIO.
