Depends what you mean! What is asking for your device number? I take it you don't mean model number? _________________ Tim |

This sounds like it could be a TomTom Navigator activation question - but, if so, I'm curious as to why the original poster is in this situation.
If Navigator requires manual activation via the ttcode.com system, it gives the device code on the same dialog as it asks for the activation code. You go to http://www.ttcode.com, choose your language, enter your product code, then the device code and get an activation code that way.
However, the TomTom Navigator installer tries to activate online from your PC. If you can start TomTom Navigator OK, it's already activated for you. Most users don't have to activate manually.
If the question is about the activation of other software, we need to know what software and why you can't find the details needed to activate it.

Tim & DavidW
Thanks for you kind reply.
The matter has been resolved... I failed to read the instructions and followed DavidW advice to the book.
Cheers
