Garmin original speed data delete problems

when I bought my garmin nuvi sat nav it had some speed camera data on it. this included a temporary speed restriction on the M27 road works.
Beforethe I loaded on the UK and EUR data bases i used the "remove all previously installed custom poi's........" option in the POI loader.
However the old information is still on the device .
How can i remoove it?

Did you buy it new? If so, it's probably the Garmin camera data you've been trying to delete! If that IS the case, then the easiest thing to do is to find the camera option in one of the control menus and un-check the box you should find in there, so they don't get displayed. An alternative would be to delete the Garmin Cyclops files, but I'm not sure what you would need to look for precisely (you wouldn't want to delete any wrong files !)
