Since upgrading my 520 to 8.351 ( from 8.010 ) I have noticed the MP3 player is now prone to abort after a few seconds of replay . An error message appears on the screen and with TomTom's implementation of "no silence over FM" - the FM connection also drops . Once MP3 replay fails all tracks are affected. The only cure I have found is to switch off , remove the SD card , reboot , switch off , put the SD card back and switch back on. This forces the TT to re-read the MP3 library. ( All MP3 are on my SD card ). It then works for a couple of days before failing again.
Any suggestions ?
I use the "Silence is Golden " track to enable navigation instructions via the ICE . The normal TT default is to replay tracks within an album - so by creating a copy of "Silence" within an album folder you can get the device to constantly replay a silent track without having to select that option and then deselect it if you decide to play a music track later on and don't want endless replay.

Putting my Silence is Golden track into an album is a great idea, so you don't have to switch on "repeat". Thanks!

As for why the playback is failing, I can't think of a reason. I'm still using a 720 and the mp3 playback is pretty trouble-free (except for the occasional stumble if I use a TTS voice). In fact it is more trouble-free than on a 940.

All I can suggest is a re-install of the software from scratch, or maybe try a different SD card?
